ICT Billet has released two new LS parts: a billet A/C compressor bracket for Corvette-spacing LS engines, and valve-cover coil brackets for 514A and D510C coils. Both went live in its October new-products listing on Oct. 2.
First, what “Corvette spacing” means. LS engines came with front accessories (alternator, A/C, power steering) set at different distances from the block depending on the car or truck. The harmonic balancer, the pulley on the front of the crank, sets where the belt runs, so your brackets have to match your balancer.
The A/C problem: keeping factory air on a Corvette-spacing swap has meant reusing GM’s cast compressor bracket. ICT’s part 551975-LSCR-1 replaces that cast bracket. It reuses the stock LS Corvette compressor and keeps the factory 4-rib location and belt length, so the 4-rib belt (the narrow belt with four grooves that drives the compressor) stays the same size. ICT lists it for harmonic balancers from the 1997-2013 Corvette, 2004-15 CTS-V, 2008-09 G8 and 2014-17 SS sedan. The bracket, tensioner, hardware and instructions are included. Note that this is a replacement for the factory bracket, not a kit for an aftermarket compressor.
The coil brackets (551713C510) are made for ICT’s own billet LS valve covers. Coils bolt in pairs to side brackets that sit on pucks, small spacers that mimic the factory cover hold-down bolt, so the brackets float above the cover instead of bolting straight to it. Coils aren’t included.
Both parts are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum in Wichita, Kansas. 6061-T6 is a common heat-treated aluminum alloy, and billet means the part is cut from a solid block instead of cast in a mold.

Is your LS swap keeping factory A/C, or did you leave it off?
