Warranty and Fitment

Check fitment first

Please check fit before you install anything. Compare the new part with your old part or your vehicle. Once a part is installed, it can't be returned as unused.

Trinity Starter Bracket fit: the bracket needs the inboard starter bolt hole on your engine block to be intact. It does not fix a block where the whole starter ear is missing. If you're not sure it will fit, send us a photo of your engine block before you order, and we'll check the fit.

Trial fit: you can trial-fit a Trinity. If it doesn't fit, stop and contact us before you modify anything. Modifications void any refund policies. A trial-fitted Trinity that's undamaged can still be returned under our Returns Policy.

Installation

We recommend having a professional mechanic install your parts. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions that come with the part.

Planet X Originals limited warranty

These items have a 90-day warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, starting from the delivery date:

• Trinity Starter Bracket, steel
• Trinity Starter Bracket, 304 stainless
• Trinity Starter Bracket Alignment Tool, 1040 steel

If a covered item has a defect, we'll repair it, replace it, or refund it. We'll choose the option that makes the most sense.

Parts from other brands

Parts from other brands are covered by their manufacturer's warranty, not by Planet X Performance. Warranty terms are different for each brand.

Contact us and we'll help you pass the claim along to the manufacturer. The manufacturer decides whether the claim is approved.

What isn't covered

• improper installation
• parts that have been modified, cut, drilled, welded, painted, or coated
• racing, competition use, abuse, or accidents
• normal wear
• labor, installation, towing, rental cars, or other costs that result from a part failing

How to make a warranty claim

1. Contact us by email or phone. Include your order number, a description of the problem, and photos.
2. Wait for instructions. We'll tell you whether to send the part back, and where. Please don't send anything without contacting us first.

A warranty claim is different from a return. Returns are for new, unused parts. See our Returns Policy for those.

Your legal rights

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. To the extent the law allows, any implied warranties on Planet X Originals last only for the 90-day warranty period. Some states don't allow limits on how long an implied warranty lasts, or on incidental or consequential costs, so these limits may not apply to you.
