The Powermaster 9509 XS Torque starter pairs a compact motor with a 4.4:1 gear reduction. Powermaster rates it at 200 lb-ft of torque and up to 18:1 compression, and calls it the lightest 200 lb-ft starter available. The encapsulated solenoid prevents heat-soak problems, and the billet aluminum adapter block uses Infi-Clock rotation for clearance. Each starter ships with its dyno test results.

Recommended: For replacement mounting bolts, we suggest the ICT Billet LS starter bolt kit (551681) or the ARP stainless LS starter bolt kit (430-3511).
Broken starter ear? If the outboard starter mounting ear on your LS block is cracked or broken, the Trinity Starter Bracket can repair it without machining. The block’s inboard starter bolt hole must still be intact. The Trinity can’t fix a block where the whole starter ear is missing.
