The Powermaster 9609 Master Torque starter is a gear-reduction replacement for GM LS-series engines. A 3.25:1 reduction drives the 168-tooth ring gear, and the encapsulated solenoid is designed to stop heat-soak and hot-start problems. The billet aluminum mounting block uses Powermaster’s Infi-Clock system, so the motor can be rotated a full 360 degrees for header and chassis clearance. The housing has a durable black wrinkle finish.

Broken starter ear? If the outboard starter mounting ear on your LS block is cracked or broken, the Trinity Starter Bracket can repair it without machining. The block’s inboard starter bolt hole must still be intact. The Trinity can’t fix a block where the whole starter ear is missing.
